Pages: Overview

How to add, edit, hide, or delete pages on your site

Last updated: September 2024

Overview

Pages are the fundamental "building block" of your Streamline site; everything you create and add to your site, from your mission statement to your meetings to your staff member bios, will all exist as various Pages that will live in your Content Library.

There are several types of Pages you can create, with different characteristics and requirements. However, all pages have some things in common; each page will have:

  • its own URL or web address (i.e. yourwebsite.specialdistrict.com/your-page-name)
  • A title and an area to display some body content
  • the ability to display teasers for other pages.
  • Note: The page title also serves as the URL. For example, a page title with the name “Your Page Name” will be both the title and the URL of the page. Which can be found at "yourwebsite.specialdistrict.com/your-page-name"

The most common type of Page you will likely create is the Standard Page, but you will often find you want to use an Event or Profile page instead to feature relevant information on the page in a clear and consistent way. Learn more about Page types here >
