Customizing Your Footer Section in Amplify

Learn how to personalize your sitewide footer, manage navigation links, and keep your design consistent across every page.

The footer is the final section your visitors see — and in Amplify, customizing it is simple. Because the footer appears on every page of your site, updates here help create a polished, consistent experience for your audience.

This guide walks you through how to access, edit, and publish changes to your footer section.

Accessing the Footer Section

When you're signed in to your site:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of your homepage.

  2. Hover over the footer area until you see the Edit Section button appear in blue.

  3. Click Edit Section, then choose Edit Section from the pop-up to open the customization panel.

You’ll now be in the Customize Your Footer Section panel.

Footer Section Overview

Your footer is a sitewide section, meaning any updates you make here will apply automatically across every page on your site. This ensures consistent branding and navigation wherever visitors go.

Customizing the Footer Appearance

In the customization panel, you can update the look and feel of your footer:

  • Change the section color to match your site’s branding

  • Add a background image for a more personalized style

  • Preview your changes in real time before saving

If you upload a background image and want to remove or replace it later, simply click Remove Image beneath the preview area.

Managing Footer Navigation and Links

Your footer can include important links or menus that help visitors navigate your site.

To update these:

  1. At the bottom of the footer customization window, click the link labeled Menus.

  2. You’ll be taken to your site’s navigation settings.

  3. From here, you can edit, add, or reorder the links that appear in your footer.

This is especially helpful for districts that need quick access to board pages, forms, or essential public information.

Saving and Publishing Your Updates

Once you’ve made your changes:

  1. Click Save

  2. Then click Publish to make your updates visible to everyone

Changes won’t appear on the live site until they’re published.

After publishing, your updated footer will display consistently across every page.
