Content Library: Pages

How to add, edit, remove and find the pages via your content library

The Pages tab of your Content Library is designed to house and display every individual page of your Streamline website in one place. You can easily search and/or filter for a specific type of page, as well as create and delete pages from this screen.

Add a page to your site

  1. While logged in to your Streamline site, navigate to your Content tab:
  2. Make sure to select the Pages subtab:
  3. Click the “Add New Content” button at the top of the screen.
  4. Select the type of page you want to create from the dropdown menu:
  5. Complete at least the required information for the type of page you're creating, and click the "Save and close" button when finished.
  6. Edit, Duplicate, or Delete a page
  1. While logged in to your Streamline site, navigate to your Content tab:
  2. Make sure to select the Pages subtab:
  3. While on the Pages tab in your content library, locate the page you want to edit and click on the pencil icon in the upper-right corner: edit icon
    1. Three options will appear after you select edit: Edit Page, Duplicate Page, and Delete Page.

  4. To edit a page:
    1. In the small box that pops up, click the “Edit Page” button.
    2. On the Edit page screen, make any needed changes, and remember to click the “Save and close” button in the top right corner to save your changes.
    3. Note: An alternative, potentially more efficient method is to go directly to the page you want to edit while logged in and look for the red “Edit” button near the top of the screen.
  5. The second option that appears here is to duplicate a page:
    1. When this selection is made a complete copy of the current page is made with the prefix “Copy of (current page name)” and the page is also unpublished.
    2. Ensure to change the name of the Page and Publish the Page once you are finished making changes to it.
  6. To delete a page:
    1. Click the “Delete page” button that appears.
    2. Confirm your selection once the popup appears.confirm delete
    3. Note: your page will be permanently deleted from your website if you do this! If you don't want to completely delete the page but want to hide it from the public, you may prefer to hide your page instead

Hide or show a page

  1. While editing a page, locate the checkbox just beneath the Page Type that allows you to publish/unpublish the page for public viewing:hide page
  2. To hide the page from the public (i.e. to unpublish the page) uncheck the box and click Save and close: Screen Shot 2019-10-07 at 9.10.38 AM-3
  3. Conversely, to show a page that had been unpublished, check the box and click Save and close:  Screen Shot 2019-10-07 at 9.10.38 AM-3

Delete a page

  1. While logged in to your Streamline site, navigate to your Content tab:
  2. Make sure to select the Pages subtab:
  3. While on the Pages tab in your content library, locate the page you want to delete and click on the pencil icon in the upper-right corner:
  4. In the small box that pops up, click the Delete button:

Note: your page will be permanently deleted from your website if you do this! If you don't want to completely delete the page but want to hide it from the public, you may prefer to hide your page instead

Search for pages

  1. While on the Pages tab in your content library, locate the search field and click on it
  2. As you type, the search feature will automatically filter out pages with titles that do not match your search query
  3. As you remove text, the search feature will automatically restore all of the pages that were previously filtered

Filter for specific types of pages

  1. While on the Pages tab in your content library, locate the filter buttons near the search bar at the top of the page.
  2. To display a specific type of page, use the dropdown menus for the following options:
    1. Content Types: Select “All Content Types” to choose the type of content you want to display.
    2. Shows up on a page: Choose “Appears On” to filter based on where the content appears.
    3. Who has edited the page last: Use “Last Edited by” to filter content based on the most recent editor.
    4. Whether the page is published or unpublished: Select “Any Status” to view either published or unpublished pages.
